刘新龙是云南甘蔗生物育种研究团队的科研人员。2025年蔗茅全基因组SSR研究将他与李富生列为通讯作者，工作涉及野生近缘资源分子标记开发。2026年云南农业大学报道列其为甘蔗自然脱叶调控研究的共同通讯作者；同年JIA编辑部报道又列其参与ScD27.2与甘蔗分蘖机制研究。Liu Xinlong is a researcher in the Yunnan sugarcane biological breeding team. A 2025 genome-wide SSR study of Erianthus lists him and Li Fusheng as corresponding authors; the work developed molecular markers for a wild sugarcane relative. A 2026 report from Yunnan Agricultural University identifies him as a co-corresponding author of research on the regulation of natural leaf shedding in sugarcane. That year, the Journal of Integrative Agriculture (JIA) editorial office also reported his participation in research on ScD27.2 and the mechanism of sugarcane tillering.
