唐耀祖的甘蔗工作连接了广东经验与非洲当地农业实践。1966年以他署名、尤宜整理的《青青甘蔗林》回顾了在马里寻找种苗、排水改土、处理白蚁危害以及与当地工人共同试种的过程。刘立德的2019年访谈也回忆了陪同唐耀祖试种甘蔗的经历。两份当事人材料可相互说明其技术合作活动，但对最初种苗数量和抵达年份的表述存在差异。本册保留人物与活动，不将任何一份回忆中的规模数字直接写成独立统计结论。Tang Yaozu's sugarcane work connected experience from Guangdong with local agricultural practice in Africa. Green Sugarcane Fields, published in 1966 under his name and edited by You Yi, recalled searching for planting material in Mali, improving soil through drainage, dealing with termite damage, and conducting planting trials with local workers. A 2019 interview with Liu Lide also recalled accompanying Tang Yaozu during sugarcane trials. The two firsthand accounts shed light on his technical cooperation activities, but differ on the initial quantity of planting material and the year of arrival. This volume retains the person and activities without turning scale figures from either recollection into independently established statistics.
