据林楠署名家属回忆，林肇荫1942年毕业于战时迁至湄潭的浙江大学，1947年赴台湾糖业机构任助理研究员，1949年回到浙江大学农学院。其甘蔗工作集中于浙江条件下的品种比较、繁殖推广和栽培教学，并与义乌蔗农杨大弟合作试种印度290。文中记其后又开展纳印310等材料的区域利用。According to a signed family memoir by Lin Nan, Lin Zhaoyin graduated in 1942 from Zhejiang University, which had relocated to Meitan during the war; he went to a Taiwan sugar industry institution as an assistant research fellow in 1947, and returned to Zhejiang University's College of Agriculture in 1949. His sugarcane work focused on variety comparisons, propagation and extension, and cultivation teaching under Zhejiang conditions. He collaborated with Yiwu cane grower Yang Dadi on trials of India 290. The account also records his later regional use of material such as Nayin 310.
